Smile, it's painless!

We are on our way to Texas next week. We'll be in Dallas and then on to Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto to visit friends. We were there for a year when Gene got home from Viet Nam and he was stationed at Ft. Walters.  We call our friend, Louise, about once a month. She is a lady who "adopted" us while we were there and became our Texas Mama. She turned 85 this month and we're going to see her especially. She still remembers when we lived there and things from the past, but has a hard time remembering what she said 5 minutes ago. We want to see her again before she forgets us entirely.

Our "adopted" daughter, Carrie, is flying down from Michigan and meeting us in Dallas. We're going to show her all the places we used to go. She's the same age, 19, that I was when we lived there so it's going to be a blast to see her reaction to what we used to do. Also, I'm taking her a big surprise and have been giving her clues this last week to see if she can guess what it is.

If you want to give it a try here are the clues. Can you figure it out? Of course, I won't tell you if you're right until she gets her surprise. But, I promise, you'll know when she does!
