Smile, it's painless!

My brother is in Iraq and celebrated his birthday a few days ago. I sent him an email card and here is part of his reply:

"Thank you for the note and the Pic. I had a normal day on my birthday if you can say in the War zone is normal. It isn't bad here, it is better here than Afghanistan. We have taken over an Iraqi air field and turned it into an American Air Base. This place is continually growing. It will be a monster trying to pull all the Americans out of here."

I'm very proud of my Soldier Bro and his son, Soldier Boy, who is following in his Daddy's footsteps. Like all our troops they both have families back home who miss them and I pray for them daily. I'm also thankful that the military has made computers available to our GI's so they can keep in touch with loved ones. It's a way better form of communication than what we had when my hubby was in Viet Nam.
