Smile, it's painless!

On Saturday I went on safari to Sanibel Island in search of wildlife. Alas, the heat drove the animals and birds to take shelter in the shade of the mangrove trees. With one notable exception, they all eluded my camera lens. This alligator was soaking up some rays on the bank alongside the road and although small, a mere 5', he was my sole model of the day.




I really wasn't as close as that first picture looks...I'm no dummy!
