I don't do Windows
I've been so busy! One of the local stores that sells Apple computers has been giving my name to people who ask for help with their new computer. I don't advertise at all, I rely totally on word of mouth and I'm putting in 6-8 hours a week. That doesn't sound like a lot but sitting for 2 hours teaching someone how to hold a mouse steady while she clicks, to find a site on the internet and bookmark it, or to download pictures from her digital camera and organize them is surprisingly tiring.

Most of my clients are senior citizens and I admire them for conquering their fear and learning to "compute". I love my job and at $50/hr the money ain't bad either. I go to their home and teach them on their own computer, one-on-one and they can ask all the questions they want without fear of someone else in a class thinking they're dumb. I tell them, "There's no such thing as a stupid question, just an answer you don't know yet". I'm the only one that I know of in my county that does in-home Apple computer consulting.
