Fay update
hurricaneIt looks like Fay could be making a turn to the east and coming closer to us than we thought. In fact, one news man said the word "Lehigh" when talking about the storms path. Lehigh (Lehigh Acres) is where I live, so we have the hatches battened and supplies in. We are in a flood zone that's safe unless it's a catagory 5 with lots of rain and this will only be a catagory 1 if it becomes a hurricane. I was here for Charlie and we had no problem with flooding then, so we're good to go, I think. We learned a lot in 2004 about being prepared. We have a propane generator that will run our entire house (AC, too) and a backup generator that will run everything except the AC.
Sandyquill is a little northwest of us, so she is in the path as well. I noticed on her blog that she's prepared. Hang on Sandi and call if you need to evacuate - we have room.
